Hi there! My name is Marta, and I am an English, Spanish, and Italian language-and-culture instructor. I couple an MAESL from the University of Arizona with 6+ years of teaching experience in diverse contexts, including the Central University of Venezuela, a local community college, and even a cruise ship!
In teaching language, I draw on my own background as a language / culture learner, my students’ needs and learning styles, and a commitment to student empowerment and intercultural understanding. My goal is to foster a simultaneously challenging and supportive environment where student identities are affirmed and individuals are empowered in relation to future prospects.
